Texas Christmas poem highlight of TPPA awards luncheon

The Texas Plant Protection Association (TPPA) held it's 29th annual conference at Bryan, Texas, Dec. 5-6. During it's awards luncheon, long-time TPPA member, Barron Rector, associate professor and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service range specialist, College Station, announced the winners of the Pest ID Contest and recited his Christmas poem, a highlight of the luncheon, say TPPA members. Winners of the Pest ID Contest, coordinated by Rector, are as follows:

  • First place: Stephen Janak, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for Colorado County
  • Second place: Dale Mott, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service specialist, College Station.
  • Third place: Dan Bradshaw, consultant from El Campo
