Texas corn harvest good in some areas

As corn conditions continued to deteriorate through much of the Corn Belt a few Texas farmers were completing harvest on what they rate a fairly good crop. Butch Aycock, who farms near McKinney, Texas, says early harvest shows most of his fields averaging 100 bushels per acre or better.

Conditions are varied across the state, depending on rainfall and irrigation capacity.
