Surviving Farm Bill Changes Part IV

The National Cotton Council has begun holding farm bill educational meetings for producers across the Cotton Belt, starting with meetings held in the Victoria and Corpus Christi areas of south Texas. The meetings will continue all across the Cotton Belt in the days and weeks ahead.

In the fourth and final part of our series, the National Cotton Council's Craig Brown talks about enterprise units. Enterprise units began as a pilot program and have now been made a part of the Agriculture Act of 2014, the new farm bill.

Brown says crop insurance coverage will now be available for both dryland and irrigated acres, a change from previous programs that could help growers in area of Texas hard hit by the droughts of recent years.
