Drought-resistant hybrids may fit ‘rain belt’ regions

Jeff Schussler has been working on improving drought tolerance in corn since 2001. Much of his research has been done in the more arid portions of the United States. But he and his fellow researchers at Pioneer are now looking at the feasibility of planting its new Optimum AquaMax hybrids in the Southeast. Schussler was interviewed at a Pioneer media event in Johnston, Iowa.
