This one-day workshop will focus upon practical irrigation management for cotton production systems, with emphasis upon optimizing modern efficient irrigation technologies. Topics include management, maintenance and trouble-shooting of center pivot (LEPA and low pressure spray) and subsurface drip irrigation systems; agronomic aspects of irrigation management; and updates from cotton irrigation research programs.
The workshop will feature speakers from Texas Agricultural Irrigation Association, Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, and Texas Cooperative Extension.
TAIA has collaborated with Texas Agricultural Experiment Station and Texas Cooperative Extension in previous irrigation workshops held in San Antonio, Amarillo, Lubbock, and Uvalde. Workshop organizers are excited about this opportunity to support continuing education for agricultural producers, crop advisors, agricultural service providers, Extension educators, and irrigation professionals.
Early registration (before Dec. 26, 2003) is $95; late registration and on-site registration is $115. Refreshment breaks, lunch, and a reference notebook will be provided. Registration forms are available online at: http://www.cotton.org/beltwide/irrigation-workshop.cfm.
